With “Wenn die Zwiebel weint”, the official title song for Patrick Kronenberger’s upcoming novel of the same name is already out today.
The multi-award-winning platinum and gold songwriter composed and wrote the song himself – bringing his novel character Phayu Hartmann, aka “TiPi,” to life through music.
The track combines catchy Eurovision-style EDM pop with emotional depth, telling a story of success, downfall, and self-discovery – themes that also play a central role in the forthcoming book.
With “When the Onion Cries,” Kronenberger masterfully bridges literature and music – a soundtrack that truly breathes an entire story.
Fun fact: Kronenberger originally won the German Songwriting Award in 2018 with this very song.
The book will be published by K’ENT Publishing in cooperation with BoD Hamburg, and the soundtrack will be released via K’ENT Records.
In the months leading up to the novel’s release in January 2026, additional songs from the album will be unveiled one by one.
